We sound-check, then stay. The one moment that can't be repeated shouldn't be left to a Bluetooth speaker.

Speeches are the part of the night people remember, and the part most often let down by a hired speaker that drops out. We set the room up for speeches first: a wireless handheld that works from any table, a second for the MC, and a system tuned so the back of the room hears without the front being shouted at.
Then the same system becomes the dance floor. Your DJ or band plugs straight in, or we run your playlist with a proper fade on every track.
For a marquee, a barn or a room that was never built for music, we add subs and a second pair of speakers so it sounds even everywhere, not just loud at the front.
Uplighting is the gentlest way to make a room feel like yours.

A dozen wireless uplights against the walls turn a bare hall into the venue in your saved photos. No cables, nothing taped down.
We match the colour to your palette and shift it through the night if you like: warm amber for dinner, something deeper when the dance floor opens. Festoon over an outdoor reception, a lit dance floor and a pin spot on the cake are the usual additions.
It travels in the same van as the sound, so it costs a fraction of a separate lighting hire.

Extras: uplighting (12 wireless fixtures) from $450, festoon, foldback for a band, a lectern, a second ceremony speaker for big guest lists, a projector and screen for a slideshow. Everything is quoted in writing first.

We're based in Coolum and travel is built into the quote. New venue to us? We'll visit or talk to the coordinator beforehand, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

For most ceremonies we set up, sound-check with the celebrant and stay for the duration. A drop-off option exists for sheltered venues with power.

Peak-season Saturdays from September to April go first. Two to three months is comfortable, and less is often still possible.
